Problem:

When migrating a backup database to another machine what causes the error "E7103: UT_ER_WRONG_DBID"?

Resolution:


  • Product Name: CaliberRM
  • Product Version: 2005-2008
  • Product Component: Database Restore
  • Platform/OS Version: All supported platform of CaliberRM

To resolve this error please follow the steps below:

  1. Open a command prompt
  2. Run "dbmgr -stop"
  3. Run "stopdb >"
  4. Rename the file osc-dbid to osc-dbid.backup (normally located in C:\Borland\CaliberRMServer\Versant\DB\)
  5. Create a new osc-dbid using the command "dbid -N"
  6. Set the id of your SQMDB using "dbid -C 1 SQMDB"
  7. Attempt to restore the database again.
  8. Run "startdb >"
  9. Run "dbmgr -start".
