When publishing requirements to Quality Center 9.0 why do I receive the error message "User "<username>" does not have permission to add or modify requirements"?

Problem:

When publishing requirements to Quality Center 9.0 why do I receive the error message "User "<username>" does not have permission to add or modify requirements"?

Resolution:


  • Product Name: CaliberRM
  • Product Version: 2006
  • Product Component: Publish to Quality Center 9.0
  • Platform/OS Version: Windows XP (SP2), Windows 2000/2003 Server

To publish the requirements into a Quality Center 9.0 project you need to be setup as a project administrator within QC.

To do this:

  1. Open Quality Center Site Administration
  2. Select the project you wish to publish the requirements to
  3. Select the Project Users tab
  4. Check the "Project Administrator"checkbox beside the user you are using to publish the requirements.
