Why, after peforming an upgrade to Caliber 2008WW, are there Together traces missing?

Problem:

Why, after peforming an upgrade to Caliber 2008WW, are there Together traces missing?

Resolution:

  • Product Name: CaliberRM
  • Product Version: 2008 WW
  • Product Component: Win32 client
  • Platform/OS Version: All

This problem becomes apparent when certain Together traces are missing and you can no longer make traces between Together and CaliberRM. Also, if you open the CaliberRM administrator and look at the External Traceability tab for the project affected, you will notice two Together entry"s, one in the enabled section and one in the disabled section.

To resolve this issue follow these steps:

  1. Using vbrowser, connect to the database
  2. Next, open the Project Integration_P table
  3. In this table you will see two Together entry"s, delete the latest version
  4. Commit the changes to the database
  5. Open a command prompt and make sure the services have started by entering the following:

    dbmgr -start

  6. Next open the CaliberRM adminstrator
  7. Navigate to the correct project and click on the traceability tab
  8. Enable the Together integration and save the changes

When you open the client, the missing Together traces should now be there and you should also be able to create new traces.
