Why are Quality Center traces in CaliberRM showing as, "Unavailable Quality Center Trace"?

Why are Quality Center traces in CaliberRM showing as, "Unavailable Quality Center Trace"?

Problem:

Why are Quality Center traces in CaliberRM showing as, "Unavailable Quality Center Trace"?

Resolution:

  • Product Name: CaliberRM
  • Product Version: 2008 SP1
  • Product Component: Integrations
  • Platform/OS Version: All

If the Quality Center server has been moved or renamed then this will break the integration with CaliberRM. The QC server information stored by CaliberRM will be incorrect.

There is a switch in the CRMDiag tool that will resolve this problem. To run the tool,

  1. Open a command line prompt, browse to location of the CRMDiag exe and type the following:

    CRMDiag -rvo -f SQMDB
  2. This will take a backup of the database and then prompt you for the original server name
  3. You will then be prompted to enter the new server name
  4. The CRMDiag tool will perform a search and replace and return the number of instances found
  5. Press "Y" to confirm the changes

Please contact Technical Support to obtain the most up to date copy of the CRMDiag tool.
