Why do some requirements fail to publish when publishing a Baseline to Quality Center?

Problem:

Why do some requirements fail to publish when publishing a Baseline to Quality Center?

Resolution:

Symptom details: When publishing a Baseline to Quality Center in CaliberRM 2006, certain requirements may fail to publish if they have since been deleted from the "Current" View. To confirm: - Note the requirement(s) that failed during the publish - Within CaliberRM find these requirements in the baseline that was published and note the ID"s - Within CaliberRM, change to the "Current" View and search for the Fequirement by ID. If not found, this is most likely the issue. Background: This problem occurs due to a Requirement Attribute for past revisions being set improperly upon the Requirement being deleted from the current view.
Solution: Step 1: Implement Server Hotfix 46 for CaliberRM 2006 which prevents the attribute from being set incorrectly at the time of requirement deletion from the Current View. Please contact supportline for this hotfix if required.
Step 2: Run the CRMDiag utility using the "-undelreq" parameter to correct attributes that were previously set incorrectly. Please contact support for the crmdiag if required.
