Why does the SDK generate the error, "Attempted to read or write protected memory"?

Problem:

Why does the SDK generate the error, "Attempted to read or write protected memory"?

Resolution:


  • Product Name: CaliberRM
  • Product Version: 2008
  • Product Component: SDK
  • Platform/OS Version: All



This error is caused by the CaliberRM StSDKLoader.dll. Either this file is corrupt or not registered correctly.

The file can be found in this location:


C:\Program Files\Borland\Java

To resolve this error you should register the DLL by following this procedure

  1. Launch a command prompt, click START | RUN | CMD
  2. Run the command

    regsvr32 "C:\Program Files\Borland\Java\CaliberRM StSDKLoader.dll"
