Problem:

Why is it not possible to search on UDA"s after performing a full extraction and index of all projects?

Resolution:

  • Product Name: Borland Search
  • Product Version: All
  • Product Component: Search
  • Platform/OS Version: All

In order to be able to perform searches on all UDA"s you first need to extract the project schema, then perform a full extraction and index of all projects. To extract the schema,

  1. Open the Search Admin console

    http://localhost:8080/bss/admin/
  2. Login using

    User : Administrator
    Password : Administrator
  3. Choose "Manage Plugins"
  4. Select "CaliberRM"
  5. Under "Start Components" select "Scheme Generator"
  6. Choose a data source and select your CaliberRM server
  7. Enter your Caliber Admin user account details, or an account that has full Admin rights
  8. Choose "Select all"
  9. Click NEXT to start extracting the scheme.
  10. Once the extraction has completed, extract and index all projects.

Once the extraction and index has completed it should now be possibe to search on all UDAs.
