Problem:

Why, when any user attempts to login to CaliberRM do they encounter the error, "No licenses available"?

Resolution:

  • Product Name: CaliberRM
  • Product Version: 2006
  • Product Component: Server/License
  • Platform/OS Version: All

The error "No Licenses Available" can be caused by a number of issues. Most are license related e.g. there are more concurrent users than available licenses. However, this error can also occur when there has been a change in the host server machine clock time (changed to Future/Past time) whilst the CaliberRM server is running, and is evident in the caliber_srv_.log file, located at e.g;

C:\Borland\CaliberRMServer\Logs

An example of an error related to a change in server time is:

ERROR Caught License Exception ->INVALID CLOCK TIME DETECTED

To resolve the issue, complete the following steps:

  1. On the host server machine, revert the clock date/time to the previously set Future/Past date/time.
  2. Login to the CaliberRM Server as "Admin" user.
  3. Perform a backup of the CaliberRM database.
  4. Restore the host server machine date/time, to the current time.
  5. Restore the database backup on the host server machine.
