Why when trying to run the extractor for Borland Search does the command window show the error, "Exception in thread "StandardOut" java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError"?

Problem:

Why when trying to run the extractor for Borland Search does the command window show the error, "Exception in thread "StandardOut" java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError"?

Resolution:


  • Product Name: CaliberRM
  • Product Version: 2006
  • Product Component: Borland Search Server
  • Platform/OS Version: Windows 2000/2003 Server


This error will occur if you have installed Borland Search 2008 and you are trying to extract to a CaliberRM 2006 database using the 2006 StarTeam SDK. The full error will read:

Exception in thread "StandardOut" java.lang.ExceptionInInitializerError

SDK is properly installed.

To resolve this problem you will need to install the StarTeam 2008 SDK.
