"UT_ER_RECOVERY: Database recovery failed" error after upgrading to CaliberRM 2006

"UT_ER_RECOVERY: Database recovery failed" error after upgrading to CaliberRM 2006

Problem:

"UT_ER_RECOVERY: Database recovery failed" error after upgrading to CaliberRM 2006

Resolution:

  • Product Name: CaliberRM
  • Product Version: CaliberRM 2006
  • Product Component: Upgrade
  • Platform/OS Version: All

It could be that you were not logged onto the CaliberRM server machine as the dbowner when you performed the upgrade.

The user performing the upgrade of CaliberRM server must be the CaliberRM dbowner. That person will be listed as the creator when running dblist command from the command prompt.

You will need to uninstall CaliberRM 2006 and reinstall CaliberRM 2005 R2 SP1. Then, restore the 2005 R2 SP1 database backup and type dblist at a command prompt. The "creator" listed is the dbowner.

Make sure you are logged onto the machine as the dbowner before you perform the upgrade again.
