CAE 7.8 Patchmanager -retire

Jump to solution
The patch.cfg file containes the option -retire MS10-012,MS10-016,MS10-021,MS10-029
After an acquisiton the bulletins still excist in the database.
The patch-acquire.log contains -retire {ms99-050 ms99-056 ms00-005 ms00-012 ms02-002 ms02-035 ms04-017}
Anyone any idea where this string in the log is coming from?

Any -retire settings either come from the patch.cfg, or from the patch acquisitions files (PatchManager\etc\*.acq).

In the section patch::cmdline additional options like -retire may be specified.

Hi,
Have you tried to restart the patch manager service after adding retired bulletins in the patch.cfg?
If not, try to restart it and run another acquisition.
Thank you!

Hallo Maria,
Thanks for the feedback. I did restart all services and even tried a reboot of the server but it's not the solution.
Any other idees?

Thanks,
I remarked the line in the .acq file and now it works as it should. The retire option in the .acq overrules the -retire option of the .cfg (console).
