I've attached Patch_Discovery to a user base instance, and it then getting applied to all user connected to CS Server, but i cannot find any result in the Reporting server.
i can see number of managed devices 50, but
no data available about patch level on any device! is this normal?

No, not normal at all.
Have you done a patch acquire?
If you are using Messaging Server is the Patch queue cleared.

Did you just attach the Patch_Discovery service or did you fully implement patch manager?

What results are you expecting to see in reporting server?
Is it that fact that the Discover_Patch services has been installed on all your devices OR are you expecting to see the results of the patch scan, i.e. your vulnerability report.
If you expect to see a vulnerability report, did you create the Patch database.
Does your RMS include the PATCH.DDA.
Did you run a patch acquisition.

so you don't get any data under either of these?

Device Compliance
Bulletin Compliance
Acquisition Summary

Or is it just the devcie\bulletin info that's missing?

If your Patch SQL/Oracle DB is created, the discover patch and finalize patch service is assigned and you have patches in your RCS DB then I would check to make sure you have synced the RCS with the SQL/Oracle Patch DB.

This is done via the patch manager admin webpage. Check the logs to make sure it has worked correctly.

Hope this helps,

Hi,

Are you sure that Patch Discover and Patch Finalize are correctly running on your client. Review connect.log.

I too am having same issue in CAE 7.8
Any help here is appreciated , was the a patch to manager since 3/2010 that relate ti this?

Database is pointing to initial HPCA_CORE and installed with patch services.
I have deferred patch setup on client so I see the jobs and individual patches I assign.
I see the discover run and the finalize run but never the patches themselves.
The database had a recent acquisition and database synch.
No errors in connect or other logs in agent.
Dashboard shows the device manages but when you click on:
Device Compliance - NO RECORDS FOUND FOR SEARCH CRITERIA
Bulletin Compliance â shows my bulletins ok
Acquisition Summaryâ â show my acquisition ok

All above are my symptoms. Connect log attached.
Thanks!

I took a VERY quick look at your connect log and i see you are running the connect with dname=AUDIT. You must use dname=PATCH when running a patch connect; this should be clearly documented in the Patch Manager doc.
Please rerun your patch connect with dname=PATCH and see what results you get.
