Cloud Optimizer event suppression rules in the Operations Agent

Jump to solution

Hi,

We have the following configured in the Operations Agent to suppress events from CloudOptimizer:

[pvcd.alert.suppress.vm.rules]
rules=suppress_all_vm_alert

[pvcd.alert.suppress.vm.suppress_all_vm_alert]
clause1=SystemName:LIKE:%

Looking at the settings, I assume the above filters work on VMs only and not Hosts, but we have potentially missed or not collected certain events from VCenter recently, so I need to verify the filtering is correct.

I am trying to find documentation around these settings and how they work. Please does anyone have links to documentation that describes the different ways events are filtered between Cloud Optimizer and Operations Manager?

Thanks for your help,

Nick
