How do we remove expired Cloud Optimizer Evaluation License?

Jump to solution

We have added Permanent license keys to our CO appliances, but are still seeing a warning for an evaluation license expiring in the past.

How can we remove these expired licenses and stop getting this message?

Thanks,
Aaron

Hello Aaron,

Yes, you can edit the LicFile.txt file directly.  Obviously, please be careful.

Another option is to rename the file, stop/restart the services and it will create the file again.  Then you can add your permanent license without the Evaluation license in the mix.

I hope that this helps.

Regards,

Mark

Can we just edit the file /var/opt/OV/conf/perf/PVAutopassDataDir/LicFile.txt directly?

If so, do we just stop/start CO for the changes to take effect?

Thanks,
Aaron
