Apps only with root-rights

Hello,

i created my first little Mac-App (only iPrint-Client deploy).

My Mac's see this app, but if we click on it, we get the error message,
that a normal logged in user has not sufficient rights to launch the app
(root required).

Is this normal on a Mac?

Windows Apps works well with non-administrator users? How can we make
this with a Mac?

Regards

Which category did you pick when creating your Mac bundle? Install Directory or Install File(s)?

Did you change the Permissions? By default they are 644.

Re: Apps only with root-rights

Hello Simon,

Created with "Install Files".

And yes, i created it with default settings....

I checked it again and the permissions are 644.

Does it work on your Mac's?

Thank you and regards

Try setting the permissions to 755. Whilst you could edit your bundle and redeploy you should be able to manually fix them on your Mac.

Re: Apps only with root-rights

Hello,

I changed the permission to 755.

Unfortunately it does also not work.

My normal Mac user still gets the error mesage, that they do not have
sufficient rights to start the bundle.

Does it work somewhere?
