BSOD FLTMGR_FILE_SYSTEM 0x000000f5 ZESFSMF.sys involved

Hi over a while!
Windows 7 x64. ZENworks Adaptive Agent uninstalled. Suddenly, after some months start to appear BSOD's (over some three days, three times so far). Not recall any steps which could trigger this taken. BlueScreenView show on first position fltmgr.sys (Microsoft Filesystem Filter Manager - 6.1.7600.16385) and on second ZESFSMF.sys (Novell ZENworks Endpoint Security - Novell ZESM File System Filter Driver - 11.3.1.214).
Any experiences/ideas/suggestions?
More thanks, Alar.

One of our customers experience the same issue. BSOD (stop code 0x0f5) with fltmgr.sys and zesfsmf.sys but they have this problem on their primary servers (11.3.1 non-FRU1). We opened an SR and Novell Support is investigating this for over two months now. They updated the zone to 11.3.2 yesterday and will now see if the issue still exists.

Hi and thanks!
But is there a known way to remove those "leftovers" from Adaptive Agent install cleanly? They don't care about this driver anymore. Sorry to say.
More thanks, Alar.

Re: BSOD FLTMGR_FILE_SYSTEM 0x000000f5 ZESFSMF.sys involved

We get this BSOD as well on our primary servers. The CPU goes to 100% for a while and then the BSOD. Its infrequent and random from what I can tell, sometimes at the peak of the day, sometimes the middle of the night. Every primary out of 5 got the BSOD at least once with 11.3.1. Now on 11.3.2 with the FTF rollup and we got it again! In all, probably 5 or 6 BSODs like this in the past year which makes it seem like its not that big of a deal but I'm worried about data corruption since this is related to a file system filter. Do we even need this? We don't use ZESM.

Hi we are getting this issue as well on our Windows Primary servers which are on 11.3.2 non FTF Roll Up 1. Is there any way to remove this component on the server?

This is starting to get really bad for us. We have five servers and two random servers will crash every week with this error. Is there any FTF to remedy this or is anyone even aware of the issue? I'm in education and get no free SRs so we cant open one right now.

Re: BSOD FLTMGR_FILE_SYSTEM 0x000000f5 ZESFSMF.sys involved

NovAlf,

OK for anyone who can open a SR, please tell Novell to look at bug
864208 as it sounds like these BSODs are being dealt with in that bug.
There's no FTF at the moment, and I don't think anyone has yet asked
for one, so it'll need a SR to get that moving
