Base image - VmWare

Hi,

I'm doing some tests for my new Windows 10 base image.

I'm trying to create that base ZMG image but the VmWare network adapter is
not recognized (No network card detected in "img info" command).

My ZCM server (11.4.1) is at the Dec 2015 drivers update version. I also
tried booting on the bootcd.iso file.

My VmWare VM is configured with the E1000E network adapter.

Thanks for help.

Can you check that you indeed have the dec imaging update? Uname -a?

I have been playing with Win10 imaging all day, unfortunately on physical
hw.

Booted up a Win10 VMWare image on ESXi 5.5 and it cannot detect a NIC there.
What version of VMWare?

Re: Base image - VmWare

Craig,

Thanks for the solution. It's working fine.

1- Stop VM
2- Download .vmx file located on the datastore from vSphere client
3- Edit the file in NotePad++
4- Upload file to it's location
5- Power up VM

It's a VMware issue.

Re: Base image - VmWare

Yes. I just tested here as well. TID needs clarifying. Sorry about the
delay. I was at my Spanish class 🙂

Not appliccable here, but just if you ever need it:
At the #-prompt, type:
uname -a

Record the results, then

find / -name tntfs.ko

note path, then

modinfo <path>/thtfs.ko

This will tell you the kernel version and version of tntfs.ko.

Think we need a command for this? If so go here and vote 🙂
