Bundle question

I have a bundle that is silently installing software. On a few computers, the install is forcing the computer to reboot without any prompting. It's random and not every computer experiences this.
Is there a setting in the bundles that I can prevent any reboots, or would this be an issue with the actual program I am pushing out? Any ideas are welcome

Re: Bundle question

Unless you have a reboot action in the bundle, the installer is handling it....ZCM cannot stop that.
What software? Perhaps there is are more switches that can be added to help avoid this.

Re: Bundle question

Thank you Craig
The software is a report writing software created by one of our vendors called Versaterm. The only switch he gave us what a /silent switch. I'm wondering if there is a /no reboot switch of some kind

Try running the installer thusly: installer /LisaSimpson

That usually brings up a reply of allowed parameters.

Re: Bundle question

additionally...........

Many still accept and pass along MSIEXEC parms....
you could try passing.......

REBOOT=ReallySuppress /norestart

Also try manually running the install w/o a silent parm up until the point you press the filnal button where the install starts making changes to your PC.
Then look to see if a folder was created in "Temp".
Often the EXE is just a wrapper you it will extract a standard MSI install package to temp that you can save off and install with more control.

Good point, ie one could try opening the installer with 7-Zip och such
and check.
