Copy System Requirements from Folders

I can copy reqirements between bundles but the option is greyed out when I select a bundle folder.
Also looking at details from any givven Bundle Folder there is no way to set these requirements.

It is doumented in course 3098, and in on-web documentation that this is possible.

Explain, anyone ?

Re: Copy System Requirements from Folders

System requirements is a bundle specific property, and not a folder specific property. That is why the system-requirements cannot be set or copied at the folder level. Could you please provide the link where it says otherwise.

Thanks
Nitish

Thsundel,

you are correct - I am amazed that this wasn't spotted before. I have
raised a bug to get it removed.

Re: Copy System Requirements from Folders

Thsundel,

it's been removed from the template, and will disappear when the docs
are next updated: should be second week of December

Re: Copy System Requirements from Folders

Well now that everyone is happy the docs are correct.....

I would suggest that the ability to set Requirements on a folder level would make way for some interesting applications.

How about controlling the wwai MSI's are installed /QN or /qb! set in one action, instead of opening every single Bundle ?

Now this could of course be done on a Bundle Group instead - UNLESS the documentation also is wrong in this respect (i dont have access to a live ZCM system right now to test...)

In addition to Requirements it would be really cool to control/set/copy MSI install options on Bundle Folder/Group level like using /QN or /qb!, instead of opening every single Bundle ?
Could probaly be done with zman scripting but controlling from ZCC is preferred 🙂

Re: Copy System Requirements from Folders

Is it still true that "copy system requiremtent" will overwrite the existing system requirements for a bundle?, Then Why is it named "copy", while it is replacing!

Re: Copy System Requirements from Folders

Floort,

it makes a copy, copies are identical... if it was "merge" then it
would be different...
