Could not find Zenworks INstallation source

After successfully setting up the PXE services I have attempted to take an image of a workstation. After PXE boots, it correctly ID's the PROXY server, which is the ZCM Image server. Boots into ZENWORKS IMAGING but when you select option 1, Start ZENWORKS IMAGING, I get a red box with the message:

Could not find the ZENworks Installation Source. Activating Manual setup program.

This takes me into a Linux installation YASTII type menu.

Any direction on this?

Re: Could not find Zenworks INstallation source

We have seen this before on a number of notebooks, even with ZfD 7.

It usually had to do with the driver for some NICs, I think Realtek
and/or Intel NICs on a Gateway tablet we have.

I believe we opened a support incident on this, but never got it resolved.

If we get that, we just tell it to install, get from network, specify
TFTP, and then it has our imaging server and path already set as the
default, so we hit OK both times and it'll begin downloading root or
whatever over TFTP like it was supposed to.

If you press F3 or whatever the right Fx key is, you'll see logs giving
you a better idea what caused the problem.

Re: Could not find Zenworks INstallation source

Thanks Jeremy,

It appears to be a problem with the driver, when I follow those steps I get an network device not found, load network module error. When I attempt to load the corresponding sky2 for the LENOVO desktop I'm using, it still isn't functional. I'll mess with it some more later, but home for the day!!

yeah, normally it is

in that case you need to open a SR with Novell, if it is a comon issue they
will probably already have a driver for you to try, otherwise it will take
more time

Stewart Taylor,

I have had trouble with the sky2 driver on other machines. It seems that
the version that ships with OpenSuse 10.3 works better, although the sky2
issue might be a kernel problem. I haven't had time to try creating a
patch with a fix.

Although, this information isn't really helping your situation any. Sorry.
