Create UEFI image with tftpd64 over pxe

Hi there,

Basically, im doing this:
1-Make a fresh install of windows 10 (uefi)
2-Install some applications and shutdown the machine
3-Boot my machine over pxe (dedicated machine)
4-Linux files of zcm imaging loading
5-When i try to "make an image", ive got error some like that: "Can make image from GPT (...) BIOS"

Actually, im using tftpd64 as dhcp and tftp server with some files of zenworks imaging cd.
Btw, i can make images in legacy mode without any problems.
Any ideas? Any checklist to setup tftpd correctly?

Best Regards,
William

Is there any reason why you don't use Zenworks proper for Imaging?

UEFI and BIOS machines use completely different sets of imaging
environments. You seem to be loading the BIOS files on an UEFI machine.
ZCM will autmatically load the proper ones depending on how the machine
is booted.

What you mean when you say "use zenworks proper for imaging?"
My main goal to create a multimenu on pxe, is to integrate zenworks imaging like cd boot.
If i loading bios files, we have any solution to load uefi instead?

There is none....
The ZCM UEFI Files require the ZENworks Proxy DHCP. (Zero Workaround for UEFI for this even if only ever doing UEFI.)
You may be able to integrate the WinPE UEFI files and uses the Native ZCM imaging over WinPe for UEFI.

See above. Maybe I'm misunderstanding you, but it seems you're not using
Zenworks proxy dhcp nor it's tftp server, aka you're not really using
Zenworks Imaging

That's (one of) the problems with UEFI. No, you can't (easily), as you
need a signed bootloader.

Re: Create UEFI image with tftpd64 over pxe

If you use ZCM Imaging, you can actually re-image a computer remotely, re-image a room, automatically apply images based upon the make/model, and many other things.
Even if you could make your planned method of requiring someone to operate a menu to download the proper bootloader for every single image restore...at that point it is not far from walking around with a BootCD/USB stick.

Using ZCM to image your devices would be far simpler.

Actually i solve this issue with add paramater "NOVELL_FIRMWARE_UEFI=TRUE" on "default" config file.
