DLU - Server 2008 R2

Is there a trick to get DLU to work on Server 2008

I have disabled password restrictions on the server via Security Settings >Account Policies>Password Policy
I have assigned a DLU policy (right now the same one I use for admin accounts.) ZCM shows the policy is applied on the server- as a device
If I login to the ZCM through the agent the policy shows it is now active both as a user and as device

ZCM 11.2.4
NC2 SP3 IR6

Trying to test out a thin client solution. This is just a test workstation currently the device is not have all windows updates installed nor is it activated.

Perfect! Works awesome... I was in the process of reading that document but didn't know where to go.

I wish all of my problems were fixed with a simple registry edit!

Shaun

What is your concern?
the:
NOTE: Setting this registry key on a server will slow performance for startup significantly. This registry setting should not be used on ZENworks primary servers, but only managed agents on server platform that are used as agent devices.

or something to do with me wanting to use it as a terminal server?
I have been burned by trying to use my ZCM server for other things..... I now simply let it do its job and its job only.
This application is actually for NComputing Thin client situation.
I am really hopeing this will work, I have been considering getting away from Novell for years, but can't bring myself to do it. I really need something like a cheap easy thin client server to work. I know it will work in a Microsoft environment, but almost consider that a dirty word 🙂

Dholland,

as long as it's not a primary, I don't have a concern 🙂 Just wanted
you to be aware 🙂

Re: DLU - Server 2008 R2

Thanks for looking out for me! Lord knows I need it more than most.
I was able to get my test environment for my thin client to work with the regedit and group policy to run scripts synchronously.
NComputing M (and L) series thin client.
Are there any issues with the new ZCM 11.3 and Server 2008. I would expect, if anything it would work better.

Thank both of you guys for the help.
