Disconnected Remote Management?

Looking for a method to leverage our ZCM (or other solution) to allow for Remote Management (to include Administration) of disconnected laptops out in the field. It seems even configuring the given laptop for VPN back into our network will not allow the unit to utilize the same IP address the ZCM is relying on as its last known IP for Remote Management.

We've looked into GoToAssist but we're trying to instead tap our existing resources for a solution. Appreciate any suggestions/advice.

Re: Disconnected Remote Management?

What version of ZCM? 11.3 introduced "Join Proxy," which is for exactly this purpose. We use it to manage our remote laptops that never connect back to our network or over VPN. We placed 2 Primary Servers in the DMZ and set the "unknown" location to point to those servers, including Join Proxy. Our Service Desk personnel can remote control any laptop connected to those servers via Join Proxy.
