Re: Error Bundle Knowledge Base Files [3.6.A.3.16]

Re: Error Bundle Knowledge Base Files [3.6.A.3.16]

I have received the Blocked by third party verification error in the past. The current error I am receiving is "Bundle is still being packaged on the server". This seems unlikely as the PRU is marked as baselined for all servers.

I have now received one of these errors for 3.6.A.1.16 and 3.6.A.2.16. I guess this means that I have it to look forward to for 3.6.A.3.16 as well. I experience this in both dev and prod environments.

To make it worse, I currently have pending actions for both 3.6.A.1.16 and 3.6.A.2.16 after I downloaded the July PRU.

What is going on here and how can it be resolved? Last week, the 3.6.A.1.16 system bundle generated over 20,000 messages!

Re: Error Bundle Knowledge Base Files [3.6.A.3.16]

If you are using satellites, you should make sure it's configured to
replicate to them by default.

Re: Error Bundle Knowledge Base Files [3.6.A.3.16]

We are using satellites. Once the problem became evident I did change the system bundle to be included as content on all satellites. That did not resolve the issue.

How exactly would I set this to replicate "by default". The system bundles are not even visible unless there is an error revealing a guid which you can use to assemble the url for accessing it in zcc. Are you suggesting configuring all bundles for automatic replication to all satellites?

Thanks for the feedback. Any other ideas?

Re: Error Bundle Knowledge Base Files [3.6.A.3.16]

Actually, that is being looked into.
I saw an update where there was a comment that what you did would have
addresseed it, but it looks like not.

Check back in a couple days, I may know more since the issue was just
re-raised last night that the "fix" is not valid.

Re: Error Bundle Knowledge Base Files [3.6.A.3.16]

It's a defect Novell is working on addressing.
I would just ignore or clear the messages.

There are some tools in the ZCC to let you clear messages en-masse.

Re: Error Bundle Knowledge Base Files [3.6.A.3.16]

found the problem
if you go into the details for the kb download, you`ll see no seperate files as listet . . .
the update zip file is unable to decompressing.
just go to the update folder, unzip the update file into the same folder manually. then, after a half hour you should be able to distribute the kb files out to the clients.

Where is the update folder normally located?

What is the method of distribution?

Would you please be so kind as to detail the process.

I had installed the Aug PRU and it was baselined.

Here was my error message:
Could not download bundle content for Knowledge Base Files [3.6.A.5.16] because a ZENworks Server could not be located.

I received over 10,000 a day!

I placed a Service Request and this is what I was told to do.

Configuration > Configuration > Content > Content Replication
Primary Server Output throttling in KB/sec: > Change Setting to None

It appears that the agents were bottlenecking to communicate with the servers. So far, the above error has ceased to appear!

Same issue here, but this setting was already set to None. Still getting WAY too many of these errors.
