Is it possible to register Hungarian Windows XP?

Hi!

We are evaluating ZCM and we have problems deploying the agent to
Hungarian Windwos XP Professional machines. The agent installation works,
it restarts the computer but it can not regiter to the server. If I try to
register manually i got the following message:

Service Error. code: -21, message:
Could not determine device type from
<OS> tag: unsupported

I see in the log, that my OSVersion String is "Windows XP Professional
Szervizcsomag 2 (Build 2600)" and there is no matching string there
because I see only english OS strings eg. "Windows XP Professional
Servicepack 2 (Build 2600)"

Is there any way to extend the list with the Hungarian OS Tags? Or any
other way to register my machines?

Thanks in advance!

I do not see any bug related to this. I will see if we can get a fix for
this.

Balazs Anghelyi,

I am told that you should try the media release, when that is released. It
should be soon.

Re: Is it possible to register Hungarian Windows XP?

Hi!

We have the same problem with ZCM 10.0.0.1. Is there any way to resolve
this issue?

Re: Is it possible to register Hungarian (or any non-english) Windows XP?

Hi!

Previous posts removed from this topic, so i repeat the problem: it's not
possible to register workstations with Hugarian Windows XP into ZCM,
because the OS string 'Windows XP Professional Szervízcsomag 2' is not
found in the ZCM database, so ZCM can't determine the OS version.

Until this problem is not solved, this product is useless in Hungary. I
know that Hungary is a little country (there are only 10.000.000 hungarian
people), but it would be nice to test an alternate solution against the
Microsoft products.

Have a nice day!
