NRM is not compatible with this browser

Hi,

I'm trying to remote control a Win2K box from my SLED box using ZCC URL on the device. I'm presented with the Authentication window; I select rights authentication and click OK to attempt the remote control session. I receive two messages in ZCC, one at the top that says:

Novell Remote Management is currently not compatible with this browser. Please refer to product documentation for supported browsers.

And another in the panel on the left that says:

Status: Novell Remote Management plugin is not compatible with your browser.

I've checked the documentation, and based upon what I've found, Firefox is supported as one of the compatible browsers. I'm currently running 2.0.0.14. Any suggestions? I tried all of the other options under advanced in multiple combinations. Still no success. Thanks.

Re: NRM is not compatible with this browser

I'm seeing this when setting up the remote management listener as well. I've opened TCP port 5550 on my firewall, just in case, but that did not make a difference.

the browser is not the problem the os is..

RM only works from windows...

a workaround atm is to use a vnc viewer and use pw based authentication.

AFAIK there should be some fixes in a later version..

Well, that stinks . . .

Thank you, Marcus. I have tight VNC installed on my SLED. I tried using that, but I think I have the wrong port number configured. I'll poke around with that for a bit and let you know. Does anyone have the "quick-and-dirty" instructions for getting that working?
