Remote control workstation

We've got our test installation of ZCM up and running but aren't able
to
remotely control workstations. The workstations are imported, a
remote
contol policy has been defined and assigned, firewalls on host and
remote
are temporarily disabled. Can anyone provide tips on how to
troubleshoot
this?

Thanks,

Kevin

Re: Remote control workstation

When we try to connect to machine LISA (or BART, or HOMER) the
initial
dialog is displayed:
"Connecting to LISA~50..."

This process times out and eventually a warning box is displayed:
"Failed to connect to server (LISA~50)"

Re: Remote control workstation

Try to use the drop down menu where LISA is written to use the IP
address.
If it works, then you have a DNS issue.
It seems that ZCC passes an order like "connect to host lisa (with NO

DNS suffix)" to the remote management tool.
So you need to have DNS and default domain setup on the box where you

want to perform the remote management task.
