SQL Anywhere Startup

SLES11SP2
ZCM11SP2

Unable to start SQL Anywhere on a second Primary ZCM server. Attempting to
move the database to another primary server. Followed the procedures in the
DOCS for installing the Sybase Anywhere software, db config files and moving
the database files to the other primary server. When executing
'/etc/init.d/sybase-asa start' the server returns 'Stating Sybase Adaptive
Server Anywhere startproc: exit status of parent
/opt/novell/zenworks/share/sybase/bin32/dbsrv12:4'. That looks like a file
permission error. However I have not been able to locate the particular file
that would be causing the error. Any suggestions would be greatly
appreciated.

Thanks,
JoeK

I guess you have solved the issue by now, but for anyone googleing for this issue and finding this thread 🙂
The solution seems to be to make sure sybase-asa-12.0.1-3723 (the RPM) (included in ZCM11sp2) is installed properly.
In my case I had sybase-asa-12.0.0-2624 and I received the error.
