System variables for ipsegment

Hi
I want to stop some bundles from running or downloading when users is on vpn, setting a requiremnt for ipsegment would solve this.
When I try to set this with a system variable, the ipadress-check refuse this.

Is this something that might work in future releases?

Re: System variables for ipsegment

Why would you need a variable?

Re: System variables for ipsegment

If we change IP-segment and I have that requirement on a lot of bundles it would be nice to just edit a system variable instead of all bundles.

Re: System variables for ipsegment

Thanks!
Makes PERFECT sense 😆

I would submit an Enhancement Request to
http://support.novell.com/enhancement

Yes, They are read and reviewed by ZEN Engineers and you will get feedback.

Re: System variables for ipsegment

Couldn't you juse use the "Environment Variable Check"?

This is actually what I use.
I check their LAN Segment and then set a Variable Based Upon that Value.
Then I filter may apps based upon the value of the Variable.

This way if a Building or Facility gets a New Subnet or the Subnets Change,
I update my portion of the script that sets the variables and all my
Apps/Bundles are set.
