Unable to Upgrade database ! code 9 sql error 103

Hello,

I'm already 2 days busy with trying to upgrade my SLES 11 ZCM 11.0 server to 11.2
The database is also embedded on the first primary. (this one was originally an external sybase).

The zdc_verify_db gives me no problems.
So i start the setup and it does some steps
- stopping sybase service
- installing ..... sybase etc..
- upgrading sybase... FAULT!

Upgrade results:
The upgrade of ZENworks 11 SP2 is finished but some errors occurred during the upgade. Please see the upgrade log for details. blablabla

This is the log:

i'm able to login to the database with dbisql from the same server.
I'm also able to start ZCC and see everything.
I've already tried to recreate the password within the dmaccounts.properties.

Here is the zdm.xml file:

<!DOCTYPE properties SYSTEM "http://java.sun.com/dtd/properties.dtd">

and here is the zenworks_database.conf

Re: Unable to Upgrade database ! code 9 sql error 103

I've got something. (have the setup running at the moment)
I've done a lot in a testlab, but need to find out what was the one that will fix it 🙂
So the update is running in test, but still need to find out wat the problem was exactly.

I will come back if i can reproduce my own fix 🙂

Re: Unable to Upgrade database ! code 9 sql error 103

Hi,

I have just encountered a similar issue with my upgrade to Zenworks 11 SP2... "Unable to upgrade database. Code : 9 Output : SQL error (-82) -- Unable to start specified database: Permission denied SQL Anywhere Upgrade Utility Version 12.0.0.2624"

Any inputs on how this issue was re-solved or what I would need to try?

Thanks

Cheers

Thanks Anders. Did so sometime back. SR 10853149001
Still awaiting depth and faster turnaround there on the possible solution responses. Any inputs would be good if anyone has any?

There has been only a few days, so be patient. Also note that you will
be able to provide feedback on the whole thing once resolved.

Re: Unable to Upgrade database ! code 9 sql error 103

Update: The Anti-Virus Agent was interfering with the upgrade. Need to ensure stuff like Anti-virus, AppArmor, SELinux, host-based intrusion prevention system etc. does not interfere with the upgrade.
