Unusual Agent registration

This one is unusual. I have enabled automatic renaming of devices. This is because we run a script which renames the Vista workstations and we would like the ZCM database to update the new names as this happens.

We have deployed an ZCM adaptive agent on an image, using Windows Delpyment services. When the image comes down the devices seem to register but then overwrite another device.

I am not referring to the same devices here that this is occuring on. Currently I have deployed 5 of these images across 5 different computers and only 2 workstation device objects are in the ZCM database, one which is Vista and the other which is XP. They continually rename and take on different workstation names.

Has anyone come across this before ?

Cheers,

Re: Unusual Agent registration

I would just like to note, removing the settings for automatic renaming of devices results in no registration. If I enable automatic renaming of devices and image 5 machines, then the last machine to go through will be the one registerred into the ZCM 10 database.
