Upgrading from 11.4 server on 2008R2 to 2017 Appliance

Hello!

Are there any upgrade paths from server Zenworks 11.4 on a Windows 2008R2 to 2017 Appliance?

Best Wishes!

AFAIK, There is not a direct upgrade path.

You would need to add a ZCM 11.4.x Appliance to your Zone.
Migrate over all roles including CA and Database.
Retire your 2008 R2 Server.
Then Upgrade your 11.4.x Appliance to 2017.

100% Do this in a lab environment 1st to get through hiccups.
I did assist a customer in doing the above and created some small documentation bugs based on some hiccups.

If your CA and Database are External, there are less possible hiccups but my guess is that your one server is also your Sybase Database Server.

Note: IMHO, I would just do an in-place OS Upgrade from 2008 to 2012 (Not 2016 since that is not supported on ZCM 11.4, which is what will be running prior to the ZCM upgrade.)
