Windows 7 Discover applicable updates error

I have imaged some Windows 7 laptops(different models) and the Discover Applicable Updates Windows-x86_64-en-WIN7sp1 bundle fails upon installation on the devices. I checked the message log for the bundle on the server and it shows the following error:
Failed to process action: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

I click the link and the message shows:
Severity: Error
Message ID: ActionMan.FailureProcessingActionException

The ZENworks agent- View Progress - on the laptop installs up to 41% and then shows:
Failed to process action: Object reference not set to an instance of an object.

Some particulars:
ZENworks version- 2017sp2a
3 Windows 2012R2 primary servers
Database server- Windows 2012R2
Database version- MS SQL 2014
The laptops are Windows 7 sp1, 64-bit

Any thoughts?

Thanks in advance for any replies.
