ZCM 10.3 and IE8 Security patch -KB2799329

Just a heads up for those that have older ZCM clients - if you are running Windows 7 and have the 10.3 client - this IE 8 patch hoses up the workstation. We have found that removing the patch fixes things. The error message is "The ordinal 459 could not be located in the dynamic link library urlmon.dll"

Hi Melissa,

Thanks for feeding this to the forums.

I'm curious though, you say this happens on the older 10.3 client. You ZCM environment is running on 11.x primaries and a mix of 11.x and 10.x clients?

We have not upgraded to 11.2 yet. We are still on 10.3.3. Upgrading is happening in the next month...

Helgeson,

11.2.3 should be out shortly after BrainShare if all goes well, and we
expect that to allow an upgrade for managed devices (nor Primaries or
Satellites) in one reboot, that would be worth hanging on for...
