Re: ZCM 11.1 Client updates fail

Have you checked the zmd-messages.log in debug mode?

- if you logon (workstation only or something) are the devices managed?, can you logon after the desktop is built with the systray icon (Zicon).

- is it working if you do a "zac unregister -f and then again a zac register ?

I'm scared about this kind of problems for the moment i need to go to SP1... (have seen it also between 10.3. > 11.0 on XP)

Zenworks Server Properties:
Management zone: unavailable
Server DNS: Unavailable
Server Adress: Unavailable

Update version: 10.3 -> 11 -> 11.1
only when i uninstall the client and install de agent again it will work but i have to update about 800 workstations this is not a option.

Damn you've got a problem indeed with so much machines.... I'm scared of that, (had it only with 20).

Did you try to register? (first force unregister)

cmd.exe
zac unregister -f
zac register [management url]

It looking worses than I thought at first.
It looks al existing 800 clients are working from there cache.
When Zenworks controll Center Devices / Workstations example PC-2100 summury looks good but when ik go to one of the other tabs.
I getting a error The object "pc-2100" no longer exists in the system. this for al workstations in my zone  real problem.
This also applies to my servsers i think i have a serious problem.
I think I have to buy support by novell again damm.
Im getting tired of it every update of ZCM is going wrong is it so difficult to make a good update.

How did you do that? Thought 10.3 couldn't go to 11 until sp1 came out..

That's only if you have 10.3.2 or later
Upgrading to ZCM 11 requires that all Primary servers are running ZCM 10.3.0 or ZCM 10.3.1

Once ZCM 10.3.2 has been applied to any server in the zone, it will not be possible to upgrade to the first release of ZENworks 11 (ZCM 11.0.0) - in this case it will be necessary to wait until ZCM 11.1 is released (there is not yet an announced timeframe for this); upgrading from ZCM 10.3.2 to ZCM 11.1 will be permitted.

He has 10.3.0 or 10.3.1 i think 😉

Re: ZCM 11.1 Client updates fail

11.1 was released last week and you can upgrade from 10.3.0 or later
directly to 11.1

Re: ZCM 11.1 Client updates fail

true, but the TS has updated from 10.3.0/1 to 11, as i see.
so the problem begins with the update 11 > 11.1

Out of curiosity, was this from 11.0 > 11.1? or 10.3 > 11.1?
