dbsrv10 causing high utilization

I'm running ZCM 10.0.1 on a SLES10 SP1 computer and am seeing high
utilization from dbsrv10. As suggested in other posts I checked
loader-messages.log and have included a sample below. Form looking at the
log it would seem that the patch management piece is having trouble. I'm not
sure what steps to take next. Thanks for any help.

Jim Webb

A reboot did not resolve the problem?

It sure looks as if the thread got stuck.. At the moment, I do not have
any other suggestions, but will ask Shaun.

Re: dbsrv10 causing high utilization

Hmm, this looks like my issue as well. I just posted in the patch forum
before looking here. Let me know if you get a fix. We have the same
messages inthe log. And dbsrv10 goes to 100% util.

Changing the update frequency from 5 min to an hour has helped some.

Re: dbsrv10 causing high utilization

I'm sorry, where is this setting located? Thanks.

Re: dbsrv10 causing high utilization

Jared,

but that was only for the FCS code, it really should not be that issue
with 10.0.1

That is true, but could it not still be a valid test?

Re: dbsrv10 causing high utilization

Tim,

we found a problem with the end of Daylight Saving Time, where moving
the clock "backward" caused many queued items to resubmit themselves
(and with vm images, the click might not be keeping good time and this
could happen any time), hopefully this will sort itself out soon...

Re: dbsrv10 causing high utilization

Jim Webb,

Try this..
1) Shut down zenloader
2) Move AddPatchlink*.xml and Zpm*.xml from the
ZENWORKS_HOME/conf/loader directory (NOTE: these files must not be
renamed in this directory or placed in a subdirectory of the loader
dir)
3) Restart zenloader...do the update...
4) move the files back and restart zenloader

Re: dbsrv10 causing high utilization

Jim,

this may be triggered by the end of daylight saving - we've found a
problem whereby a system that was set to an "incorrect" time, will kick
off recurring items that it thinks it "missed"...
