help with distributing fonts using lsrunas.exe and addfont.e

Issue we are having: we are trying to isntall two fonts the trajan bold and pro. I created a directive bundle using addfont, unfortunately if the command is not run as administrator it does not work. I tried changing the options in advanced tab but that does not work either. We found that the program lsrunas allows us to run commands in the command prompt as admin. However we are still having issues deploying the bundle

How we created the bundle:

created a directive bundle first we have the bundle installing the addfont.exe, lsrunas.exe, and font files to the appropriate directories.(the lsrunas.exe allows us to execute the command as admin) the bundle will not install correctly unless the command is run as administrator
Then we have the launch exectuable for the command:* field we put c:\>windows\lsrunas and the command line parameters we put /user:administrator /password:##@&@^# /domain:!@#&# /runpath:c:\ /command: c:\windows\temp\addfont Trajanpro-regular.otf "Trajan Pro"

You can also just push the Font Files to the Fonts directory and add the
matching registry entries, though the fonts will not be available until
the user logs out/in.

Not sure why the Addfont.exe is not working, perhaps a UAC issue.

You need to set the Reg Keys as well..........

HKML\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\Current Version\Fonts

Re: help with distributing fonts using lsrunas.exe and addfo

thank you for your reply Ive set the registry keys indicating the two keys for trajan bold and trajan pro. Could anyone test these two fonts also. I see the two keys added to the fonts in registry but in C:\windows\fonts I still dont see the trajan bold or pro. But if I search within the registry or command prompt i see the two fonts.

Re: help with distributing fonts using lsrunas.exe and addfont.e

Take a copy from a machine that is not encrypted and compressed and
distribute that copy?

But I suspect I'm missing something in your question..........

Re: help with distributing fonts using lsrunas.exe and addfont.e

I don't know much about OTF fonts, but that may explain why numerous
methods were failing.

What may work for you is Converting the Font and installing that.

This may help too...........
