manually update zdf agent

Is there a way to manually update Win7SP1 client from the zfd agent from 11.0 to 11.1? Running the angent msi only reports that an agent is already installed.

Technomoney,

updates can only happen via system update

Re: manually update zdf agent

And how can we deal with machines having protection software like Deepfreeze? this software allow the machines to be restored at original state.... is there a way in ZCC console to create a group that identify these machines? How can I upgrade theses machines?

Re: manually update zdf agent

Dominicm,

the only way would be to create a workstation group (not a dynamic
group) and deploy to them, during a period when they are unfrozen, I'm
afraid. We've had enhancement requests to use dynamic groups, and I
encourage you to add your "voice" http://support.novell.com/enhancement

I'm guessing this means patch management has to be enabled and activated?

No, this has nothing to do with patch management.

In ZCC assign the update to the device and refresh the device?
