zac cc - Error - 11.2.2

Hi, we just updated to 11.2.2 and since then we get this error when trying to run the command "zac cc": "You do not have the permission to clear the cache. Please contact your ZENworks Administrator.". I did some looking and all I could find was about ZESM that need to be disabled. We don't use ZESM and it's already disable. How can we correct this?

Thanks in advance for the help!

For your information I just got a confirmation that this is a bug. An SR as been open for this.

Have a good day!

Seeing it too on Win7 and XP devices. Even ones that have local
administrative privileges for the user.

Re: zac cc - Error - 11.2.2

I opened a SR for this (and other stuff 11.2.2 broke) and I was told by
Novell that Zac cc had not been working since (get this) 11.2.0 and that it
is working as designed??

So the command not working is "working as designed"?

Re: zac cc - Error - 11.2.2

Niels,

so here's the truth as far as I know it: when ZESM was first included
int he ZCM agent, there were fears that "zac cc" could be used to
remove the ZESM policy from cache, and thus bypass the security, so it
was set to need an override. Since then, it's been found that this is
not the case, so the agents was _supposed_ to be changed so that you
can ru it without an override, if ZESM is not licensed... but it
appears it doesn't work. So _that_ part is a bug, the blocking of the
command previously was working as designed, just not a terribly clever
design.

ah... okay, thanks for the clarification. I never had any issues with the zac cc command, so that's why I asked...

Re: zac cc - Error - 11.2.2

I never had any issues with the zac cc command, never had issues with new
agent having corrupted cache, never had issues with not being able to
refresh devices from within ZCC, all this since upgrading to 11.2.2 and
above that being told by novell that all these issues are separate SRs along
with all the useless remediate errors that have always been there, grrrrrrr,

Yes... the error "formats" are sadly still an issue...
