We are pleased to announce the general availability of Micro Focus Connect 4.0!! Micro Focus Connect enables item and relationship data synchronization between the Micro Focus Hub and other repositories or clients. Full change management capabilities are immediately available for the data, once it is synchronized with the Micro Focus Hub. These capabilities include versioning, branching, tracing, labeling and reporting, and are contained within an environment that consolidates the managing and tracking of all project assets. This is regardless of how many tools or processes are in use across stakeholders. The software development process is highly complex, with many factors to delicately coordinate. This makes maintaining visibility and traceability across multiple repositories and regions and across geographically distributed teams almost impossible. So how do you resolve this issue for your software development teams with just a single tool? Acquiring consistent reporting and baselines across all of your software delivery assets has never been easier with Micro Focus Connect 4.0!
Here are some of the major enhancements in MF Connect 4.0:
See how simple it is using Micro Focus connect to synchronize your assets across a wide range of sources. In this video watch how you can combine the power of Atlas and JIRA via a quick, one time server administrator setup in Micro Focus Connect.

Micro Focus is enabling software development collaboration across the landscape of application life-cycle tools with Borland Connect 1.6
Today’s challenge with software development organizations is many of their assets are spread across a vast set of disconnected tools. Stakeholders and decision makers have the unpopular choice of making a tool standard across the development stack, or allow users to use their tool of choice. The reality is that neither of those choices work. A tool standard means adopting a single tool or vender specific toolset which can be costly. On the other hand, while your user / development community applauds the decision of “openness”, it becomes unwieldy to manage as the tools don’t communicate and integrate seamlessly with one another. The inability to associate assets together coupled with stale reporting and metrics lead to uninformed decisions. Stakeholders need to trust their decisions and that they are well informed.
Borland Connect is designed from the ground up to solve these problems.
Borland Connect enables software organizations to maintain high visibility and traceability of the assets across the whole development tool stack as well as across geographically distributed teams. This allows software teams to have consistent reporting and baselines across all the software delivery assets.
This new release of Borland Connect provides our customers: Atlas Planning and Tracking Suite: Atlas, Borland Hub, Borland Connect and StarTeam Agile are now installed together as part of the new Atlas Planning and Tracking Suite.
• Configuration UI updates: Borland Connect started shipping with a fully enabled WebUI for configuring synchronizations between the Borland Hub and other data sources in Borland Connect.
we added further improvements to the WebUI such as the ability to configure User Maps which was previously only available in the XML configuration directly. User Maps allow customers to link specific users across connected Data Sources when different usernames are used for access to the systems..
• Connector Certification Support: All certified connectors posted on the Community site can now be driven via the Borland Connect UI and unless otherwise stated in the Connector readme they provide drop down options for field and project mapping selection rather than requiring the user to manually type the appropriate names. This is not only helpful in expediting the mapping of the configuration but also reduces the chance of error during manual entry.
Borland is happy to announce the release Borland Connect 1.6. The major change for this new release is that now Atlas, Borland Hub, Borland Connect and StarTeam Agile are now installed together as part of the new 'Atlas Planning and Tracking Suite'.
