Need a way to change the export path for exporting projects in QC

Need a way to change the export path for exporting projects in QC

Currently our app servers only have 10 GB space (80% usage currently so 2 GB free) and our ALM projects are over 100 GB. We have mounts setup on Linux but we need a way to export the qcp file to a different location other than /tmp

This will allow us to backup large ALM projects on a more regular basis (currently only have disaster recovery options because of the size of the projects)

Thanks

Actually there is a solution for this issue.
You need to change the default temp directory inJava system properties by adding the property below to the wrapper.conf and then restart ALM server to apply it.

wrapper.java.additional.30=-Djava.io.tmpdir=/path/to/your/temp/dir

Note that ALM will extract DB data into binary files and then package them together with repository files into a QCP file. These files are all generated in Java temp folder on ALM server side andit requires much more storage than the size of the final QCP itself.
