Content indexing HPRM 8.3 not working (doesnt return any result)

Hi,

early this year, my client has upgraded their HP TRIM from version 6.2.4 to HPE RM 8.3, and now just realized that content indexing is not running. fyi, we have installed HPE RM 8.3 together with IDOL using default .msi installer.

i have turned on and created IDOL instance. all services are up and running.

event has been enabled and everything seems ok..

i've monitored the event peocessing session and i can see some content indexes has been processed.

but when i try to run content search in HPE RM, it doesnt return me any results. is there any steps that i've missed out during the configuration in server?

Sue,

We'd need to review the Content Engine's application & index logs. You'll see where these logs exist in the config file ( installed in the same directory as the TRIM executables).

It could be as simple as it hasn't yet performed a DRESYNC or a DRECOMPACT.
If you're running a default install, these would be:
http://localhost:9001/DRESYNC?priority=100
http://localhost:9001/DRECOMPACT?priority=99

These aren't always simple solutions, though, so a support case may need to be opened.

Thanks,

Dear Ryan,

thank you for your reply.

i will check the log files and DRESYNC or a DRECOMPACT first and will open a support case if further support needed.

Thanks.
