Error Saving document as final from word

Trying to save word document as Final.

When make final in word is selected or Declare as final selected & we try to save into CM9 we receive the attached error.

This Document is now 'final' and cannot be returned.

If you click ok it creates a record in CM9 but the record has no electronic attachement (word doc) to it.

We have no issues saving word documents when make final is not selected.

Any Ideas?

My understanding is that when you save a document as final it becomes unable to be edited, it still needs to be edited as part of creation in CM.
My suggestion is save the document first and make it final from within CM
