HPRM8.1 - Word document swapping from edit mode to read only on its own

Hi all

Just wondering if anyone has had a user experience this.

I have a group of users (4 - 6) where when they open a word document in edit mode RM8 checks it out (as it should) They tend to leave the document open and bounce between the document & other programs, then when they come back to enter more data the document has changed from edit to Read only.

RM8 still shows the document as checked out but the top of the document clearly says read only.

This does not happen regularly.

Any advice will be greatly welcomed.

Where are the files being checked out to? If it is a network drive location it may be caused by network problems.

What happens if they turn off automatic backup?
