MS Outlook Add Ins Tab is Missing

One of our users is missing the “Add-ins” tab in Outlook.  We have reinstalled Office and TRIM on his computer, but it is still missing.  I have confirmed that his Desktop Add-ins in TRIM are checked.

He needs to be able to create linked folders to TRIM in Outlook.

Any suggestions?

Re: MS Outlook Add Ins Tab is Missing

Hi,

Could be a few different things, do you have the version and build of TRIM and Outlook?

One thing to check right away is to ensure that you are using matching 'bit' versions e.g.. They are both running 32bit.

If one is 64 and the other 32 they will not be able to integrate together.

Which version of Office? Did you manually remove the add-in and then add it back (via Outlook)?

Re: MS Outlook Add Ins Tab is Missing

If the add-in used to be there but disappeared, you can check to see if Outlook disabled it.  In Outlook 2010, you'd check that by going to File>Options>Add-Ins and look in the table underneath the "Disabled appliation add-ins" heading.  If it shows Trim's add-in there, you can set the Manage drop down list to "Disabled items", click Go, select the Trim add-in from the list and click Enable.
