SharePoint Integration Error: User Sessions

Lifetime Management Error:

When selecting "Manage this site with HP TRIM" this error appears:

"One or more list items on this list were not managed due to a problem. Because this installation of SharePoint does not support user sessions, the issues that occurred cannot be displayed. To identify which list items successfully had this process applied, please use the Management Status column in the list. Additionally, you can consult the error list configured for this installation and examine the details of each failure that occurred ."

* The error list for the installation does not show any issues.

Environment:

  • TRIM 7.0.1 Workgroup Server
  • SQL Server 64 bit
  • Windows Server 2008 R2
  • Microsoft Office SharePoint Server (MOSS) 2007

Any ideas would be appreciated

Re: SharePoint Integration Error: User Sessions

If this is a test environment, I would suggest rebuilding the environment and using 7.0.2 or 7.1.

7.0.1 had many teething problems with the SharePoint integration and these sorts of unhelpful errors were common.

Re: SharePoint Integration Error: User Sessions

1131 was a pre-release build, so I'm guessing you got that off a business partner?

1132 is the release build as available on the SSO website.

I'm not sure if it contains any changes with the SharePoint integration, but it would be best to be on the correct release build.

In any case though, you should log this with HP Support so we can forward this issue through to R&D.

Further Feedback / Attempts Made with Released Build of SharePoint Integration 7.1?

Hi Giles,

Thanks for adding the additional feedback.

Currently still working through the next build  using TRIM 7.1 - so any further feedback you have would be great.

Re: Further Feedback / Attempts Made with Released Build of SharePoint Integration 7.1?

I imagine that there will be some scenarios with the SharePoint Integration that simply weren't developed for and will not work.

So if anyone finds things like mentioned in the opening post, please open a support case with HP so it can be raised with the development team.
