Slow document check-in using Content Manager 9.1.5

We are testing Content Manager 9.1.5 for an upgrade. After editing a docuemnt in CM9.1.5, it takes about 45 seconds before the client displays it as checked in. However, it is very fast in our TRIM 8.1 environments. Did anyone else encounter such as issue? Thanks.

You may need to change the settings under open documents.

  • Go to the View tab in content manager.
  • Tick the box nex to Open Documents - This should open a window at the bottom of the screen
  • Right click in the window & select options.

You can adjust times for checking in documents.

Is there a way to set this as a Global Setting so all clients get the same check in times?

We have already tried setting these values to 5 seconds or even 1 secod. The response time is around 35-40 seconds which is much slower compared to TRIM 8.1 where we are upgrading from.

Hi,

From CM 9 there was an additional check added due to Microsoft Office behaviour of auto saving. MF recommends to add a Registry key HKCU\SOFTWARE\Hewlett-Packard\HP TRIM\OpenDocuments\MinimumCloseInterval with the value provided in seconds to override CM default working practice (depending on who you speak , for some this is a feature and others an issue).
