In the results window for your search, you need to right-mouse click on the header line and select Format Columns. Then you can add the Extension (the file type of the electronic document) to the columns displayed. This will enable you to click on that column to sort by extension, but it is by extension rather than what editor originally created the document.

(Please state the version of TRIM/RM/CM that you are using in all posts)

Hi, how did you go with Tony's suggestion?

Was it the solution you were after?

Hi Greg,

Thanks for checking.   TOny very kindly did answer the question.   But the systems   should allow for this a little more elegantly . The means by which  an end user has to do this is rather cluncky.  Can you suggest anything to reduce  the number of steps?

Thanks

Run a search on the container and filter by file types.
