When initiating a workflow of 4 activities, an email gets triggered for all the activities at once.

When initiating a workflow of 4 activities, an email gets triggered for all the activities at once. Instead of only for the first activity.

The expectation is that an email should be only triggered to the individual responsible for activity 1 indicating that particular activity is initiated for them. Then after completion of activity 1 is when an email should be triggered to the individual responsible for the activity 2 and so forth. But on initiation of the workflow, emails are triggered for all the activities at once which is incorrect.

Please can someone suggest on this aspect.

What email notifications do you have configured for each of the activities?

If you have the "When it is assigned" email notification enabled, and the activities have a default assignee I believe it will notify them as soon as the Workflow is created.

You may want to use the "When it becomes ready to start" email notification instead.
