Which Events Should Have Single Processes in RM 8.1

The recommendation used to be that Audit Log events and Mail Notifications be processed by single servers.  Is that still the case?

While the TES Help is clear on what you can and can't do, I was under the impression that for example if Mail was processed on mutliple servers there is potential for duplicate emails to result.  Also, for other events, the potential for contention  can result in the efficiency gains of load balancing to be negated.

The other events of interest are:

Content Indexing

Word Indexing

Schedule Event Triggers

Alerts Service

SharePoint Integration

Event Statistical Aggregator

Yes it only really makes sense for audit logs to be processed on one server because it generates the audit logs to a local directory.

I also checked the mail notification events and this can also only be set to one server.

Some events can be distributed and as designed to allow this e.g. word indexing, schedule evnet triggers etc. You can see these examples in the events server configuration screen as these have the "Any" option.
